This folder game activities has the student create sentences about different occupational jobs in the community. 

This assignment was created when my student was assigned to write a paragraph about a job he would like in the future - we modified his paragraph to 3 sentences, and he completed each sentence with a picture card and phrase.

Food Group Sort - Meat and Grain

Students will sort the pictures into the correct food group.
Extra pictures have been provided so they can be changed out to make sure students have knowledge of a variety of foods in each group.

I have a job wall in my classroom for afternoon work jobs.  I printed these cards 4 to a sheet to fit onto my bulletin board.  Each day I rotate the students to a  different job in the classroom.

Scavenger Hunt

At the beginning of the year I created a scavenger hunt for my students to walk around the school and learn where the different offices and rooms were located.  Students were given a clue and a picture on each card, and they were to guess where they were going next.  At each location I had a larger image that matched their image so they knew when they reached their destination.  For the Librarian and Nurse - I had them keep the cards at their desk so each of my students would have to go meet them!

Aphabet Strips

Theses are three different alphabet strips I created for my classroom.  We use them during calendar time in the morning with the songs.  I cut each line into a strip then place them end to end on sentence strip paper so each student has their alphabet on one line.
